Sometimes it is a &quot;helicopter&quot; situation, like the one in the original post, or like the student I had two years ago who would call his mom, who was about 200 miles away, and have HER call me, even though he lived on campus and could have called me or even come by my office quite easily.  

Involved and concerned parents are good.  Parents who want to do it all for their children are not, in my opinion.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;</description>
